Galerie Jeune Création: the talent scout !
True platform for supporting and spreading contemporary art, the Galerie Jeune Création aims at making art accessible to all. For 60 years, this association founded by the painter Paul Reyberolle, previously named “Jeune Peinture”, has been an unlimited source of new talents in painting as well as design, sculpture, photography or installation. The distinctive feature of this gallery and association resides in its exhibitions, organized for free by artists for other artists.
“Jeune Création has been putting the rising artistic scene forward for 60 years. This manifestation has always been the springboard necessary for young artists to be discovered by professionals and art institutions, and it still is. The peculiarity of Jeune Création is the members of its organization and selection committee, exclusively made out of artists who participated in the previous editions.(…)” explains Antoine Miserey, President of Jeune Création (Source: extract from the Editorial of the Jeune Création catalogue 2010).
By the way, Olivier Filippi (who exhibited at the Elysées Mermoz in October and November 2010) has been one of the artists put on display at the Galerie Jeune Création last April.
Current exhibition: “Un X Deux” by Jean-Jacques Dumont and Christian Globensky, from July 8th to August 5th 2011.
From Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm.
Coming soon: From November 6th to 13th, the CENTQUATRE will welcome the Galerie Jeune Création for an international exhibition on contemporary art where 60 artists will be presented. Samuel Buckman, who is currently exhibiting at the Elysées Mermoz, will display one of his works: the “Europa Quality” video.
